POUGHKEEPSIE – The independent feature film titled “The Buried Girl” described as “a swift-moving, tense and emotionally-fulfilling murder mystery and coming of age story” will begin production in and around the City and Town of Poughkeepsie on Monday.
The cast includes Oona Laurence (The Beguiled, Pete’s Dragon), Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, The Purge), Brandon Larracuente (13 Reasons Why), Yetide Badaki (American Gods) and James Ransone (The Wire).
Locations will include the Poughkeepsie Police Station, local residences, Mills Norrie Park and Spackenkill High School taking center stage. Fiming is expected to run from August 7th-26th
“We are excited to have received the support from the Mayor and the town of Poughkeepsie as we embark on this journey,” says a statement released by the production company. “We will also be supported by many local restaurants and business throughout the shoot”.
