SAUGERTIES – Police in Saugerties say a town employee is the one who stole items from lockers at the Kiwanis Ice Arena in March of this year. An investigation established that Eyzaiya Ortiz, 21, an employee with the Town of Saugerties Buildings and Grounds Department entered the locker rooms on several occasions, taking money from lockers, while the victims were on the ice.
Ortiz was charged with petit Larceny and released on an appearance ticket.
