Two charged with several vehicle break-ins

HYDE PARK – Police in Hyde Park have two men in connection with a rash of car break-ins in the town.
Following the crimes, two officers working with a special detail in the targeted area, observed two men going through cars in the Hidden Brook Estates development in the morning hours of July 24.  Both were taken into custody.
Dylan Fee, 18, of Wappinger and Trevor Monroe, 19, of Hyde Park, were arrested. Fee was charged with two counts of felony burglary and one count of felony grand larceny. He was sent to the Dutchess County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.  Monroe was charged with felony grand larceny. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Police said the investigation is continuing with more charges to be filed against both men.
Hyde Park Police were assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s K-9 unit, and Town and City of Poughkeepsie Police detectives.
