LIVINGSTON – A passenger
in a car that was involved in a three-car crash at the intersection of
Route 9 and Columbia County Route 31 at 6:50 on Wednesday morning was
killed.

State Police said the victim was a 40-year-old Hudson resident, whose
name they did not immediately release.

Preliminary investigation indicates a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier was traveling
eastbound on CR31 and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection
with Route 9. The car collided with a 2017 Hyundai traveling northbound
on Route 9.

The Cavalier overturned and struck a car parked at a gas station.

The fatal victim was a passenger in the Cavalier, who was ejected and
pronounced dead at the scene.

The Hyundai driver and passenger were both transported to Albany Medical
Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation. State Police ask anyone who may
have witnessed it to call the Livingston Bureau of Criminal Investigation
at 845-677-7300.
