Connecticut man charged with setting car on fire

HYDE PARK – A Waterbury, Connecticut man was arrested by Hyde Park Police on a charge that he set an acquaintance’s vehicle on fire. The vehicle was parked close to an occupied residence in the Greenbush development.
Randy Radlein, 29, was arrested in Connecticut on Thursday and charged on a felony arson warrant in connection with the fire on August 16, 2016.
The one-year investigation was conducted by Hyde Park Police along with the FBI, Waterbury Police Department, Dutchess County Sheriff’s and District Attorney’s offices, Fairview Fire Department, Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division and sheriff’s office Fire and Arson Investigation K-9 Unit.
Radlein, who waived extradition and was returned to Dutchess County, was charged with arson, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief, all as felonies.  He was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
