POUGHKEEPSIE – Work is expected to begin around August 1 to replace Bridge C-19 on Hollow Road, County Route 14, in the Town of Clinton.
The bridge over Little Wappinger Creek was originally built in 1931 and must be replaced due to structural deficiencies, according to the Dutchess County Department of Public Works.
The work should be completed by late fall.
Hollow Road will be closed during the project and a detour route will be posted.
The bridge carries some 1,500 vehicles per day.
