State Police names new Troop F and K commanders

ALBANY – State Police Troop F on the west side of the Hudson River
and Troop K on the east side each has a new commander.
Superintendent George Beach II named Major Pierce Gallagher as commander of Troop F and Major Robert Gregory as Troop K commander.
The previous Troop F commander, Major Joseph Tripodo, was appointed to the position of staff inspector assigned to division headquarters, Field Command, BCI.
Former Troop K commander, Major Robert Nuzzo, will serve as assistant deputy superintendent, Chief of Staff, at division headquarters.
Gallagher has been with the State Police since March 1988 and rose through the ranks to his most recent post as captain and commander of the Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Gregory most recently served as major in charge of the New York State Intelligence Center and subsequently designated the detail commander of the Special Investigations Unit.
