SAUGERTIES – Police are
continuing to investigate reports of someone firing a shotgun into the
air from a balcony at the Skyline apartments in Saugerties. Investigating
officers could not find the alleged shooter but interviewed someone who
said they saw a person firing into the air in the July 1 incident that
was reported at 10:07 p.m.
Another man said he lived in an apartment below the one from which the gunshots were reportedly fired.
Further investigation determined the man who said he lived in an apartment other than where the shots were fired actually lived in that unit and gave police a false name and date of birth.
Clemente Dicker, 40, was charged with misdemeanor criminal impersonation and was issued a court appearance ticket.
Saugerties Police are continuing their investigation into the incident and is asking anyone with information to contact the detective division at 845-246-9800.  All calls will be kept confidential.
