Waterpark hotel construction to begin

TOWN OF THOMPSON – Construction on an estimated $300 million waterpark hotel will start shortly on the Adelaar property in the Town of Thompson.
The town board will meet on Monday afternoon to approve and authorize the inspection permit fee agreement for the Kartrite Waterpark Hotel project, said Town Supervisor William Rieber.
This will be the third development to be built on the Adelaar property. The Resorts World Catskills Casino should be completed in less than a year. The Catskill Regional Medical Center urgent care center was recently completed and opened.
The Kartrite project has the appropriate planning board approvals and site work will begin shortly, Rieber said.
