NEW CITY – Clarkstown Town Supervisor George Hoehmann Monday condemned as “intolerable and inexcusable” anti-Semitic vandalism in the Clarkstown section of Spring Valley.
The incident on Sunday involved a newly sold home that was targeted with several spray-painted swastikas. After the incident was reported to the police, the Clarkstown Highway Department was dispatched to clear the graffiti.
Hoehmann spoke on Monday to Rockland County Executive Edwin Day suggesting the formation of a countywide task force to address and rid the county of “these heinous and cowardly acts.” He said it is “imperative that all Rocklanders and our community leaders band together to end these hateful and hurtful crimes.”
