MONTROSE – The VA Hudson Valley Health Care System has been recognized for its environmental sustainability by Practice Greenhealth, a national organization dedicated to good practices in healthcare.
The VA Hudson Valley honor includes the Partner for Change award, which recognizes health care facilities that continuously improve and expand on programs to reduce and recycle waste and source products sustainably, and more.
The facility also received the 2017 Greenhealth Emerald award that recognizes the “cream of the crop” of Greenhealth Partner for Change award applicants.
“This recognition demonstrates our efforts to create a better environment of care for our patients, while maintaining a healthy environment in the community where we reside,” said Marwan Fanek, VA Hudson Valley Green Environmental Management coordinator.
