LOCH SHELDRAKE – The SUNY Sullivan Board of Trustees has narrowed down its nationwide search for a new college president to three finalists including the current interim president. All three will be in town in the new week to participate in campus activities.
The candidates are current acting president Jay Quaintance, who previously served as assistance secretary for education in the state governor’s office; Dr. Irene Rios, the dean of academic affairs/chief academic officer for Naugatuck Valley Community College in Connecticut; and Dr. Rick Miller, executive vice president at SUNY Potsdam.
Each finalist will meet with campus constituency groups as well as participate in a meet-and-greet, hosted by the board of trustees and open to the public, in the Kaplan Student Union from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Dr. Rios will be on campus on Monday, May 15, Dr. Miller on Tuesday, May 16 and Quaintance on Wednesday, May 17.
