Catskill man charged with torching ex-girlfriend’s belongings

CATSKILL – A Catskill man was arrested by State Police and charged with felony burglary as well as misdemeanor arson and aggravated harassment following an incident involving his former girlfriend’s personal belongings.
Joseph Ferro, 23, allegedly broke into the woman’s residence in the Town of Catskill and stole some of her personal things, which he burned. He is also accused of sending threatening messages to her.
Ferro was committed to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
