ALBANY – A $50,000 state grant for the Village of Jeffersonville is expected to help with repairs to the Mill Street walk bridge.
The village owns and maintains a pedestrian bridge over Callicoon Creek on Mill Street. The 13-year-old structure is a truss bridge, constructed from welded steel members with a wooden deck and is in need of repairs.
“This grant will allow us to make necessary repairs to our Mill Street walk bridge, and provide a bridge to the future for our residents,” said village Mayor William Thony.
The funding was secured from the state budget by Senator John Bonacic (R, Mt. Hope).
