MAHOPAC – Police are investigating the murder of a Mahopac woman whose body was found in her home on Coventry Circle Thursday afternoon.
Police and EMS personnel were called to the home at 3:18 p.m. for a medical emergency and they found Pearla Gatchalian, 75, dead, the apparent victim of a homicide, Carmel Town Police said Friday. The cause of death remains under investigation and is pending an autopsy.
Carmel Police are being assisted in the investigation by State Police, and the Putnam County Sheriff’s and District Attorney’s offices.
