GOSHEN – Honorees of the
Orange County Human Rights Commission will be saluted next Wednesday at
the 22nd annual awards dinner at Kuhl’s Highland in Middletown.
The event will honor five individuals who have worked to strengthen relationships among diverse residents and to encourage participation in community life on an equal basis.
This year’s honorees are Rev. Chris Antal, president of the Greater
Newburgh Interfaith Council; Dr. Ronald Israelski, Orange Regional Medical
Center’s director of medical education; Abdullah Rahaman II, school
social worker at Newburgh Free Academy’s North Campus, co-founder
of the Newburgh Healthy Black and Latino Coalition; the diversity
manager at Planned Parenthood Mid-Hudson Valley Lana Williams-Scott; and
civil rights and human rights attorney Christopher Watkins.
