TOWN OF MONTGOMERY – A
70-year-old woman was killed Monday morning when her car crossed into
the opposite lane of traffic on International Boulevard in the Town of
Montgomery and struck another vehicle head-on.
Town Police identified the victim as Eileen McAdam, 70, of Montgomery.
The driver of the other car, Brittany Bonesteel, 30, of Walden, was injured.
Both women were airlifted to Westchester Medical Center where McAdam was
pronounced dead.
Montgomery Police were assisted at the scene of the 7:30 crash by Mobile
Life Support Services, Town of Montgomery Ambulance, Coldenham and Orange
Lake fire departments, State Police, and Newburgh and New Windsor town
police departments.
Montgomery Town Police said the investigation into the cause of the fatal
crash is continuing.
