KINGSTON – Ulster County Executive Michael Hein and Health Commissioner Dr. Carol Smith want to know how residents feel about the potential repeal of Obamacare – the Affordable Care Act – and replacement with a Republican plan, called the American Health Care Act.
The local officials will hold a forum Tuesday, March 21 (tomorrow) at 6:30 p.m. in the legislative chambers in Kingston to hear what the public has to say about it.
Last week Hein issued an executive order directing Smith and the department of health to “study, receive public input, evaluate and report on the impact of the repeal of the affordable care act and enactment of the proposed replacement on the residents of Ulster County.”
