Firefighters from a number of area departments fought the blaze
HYDE PARK – An explosion and fire caused considerable damage to
Joseph’s Steakhouse on Route 9G in Hyde Park Monday afternoon.
The explosion, in the rear of the building, blew out the rear portion
catching it on fire.
Several fire departments responded to the scene including Roosevelt, Hyde
Park, Staatsburg and the City of Poughkeepsie.
There was no immediate word as to the cause and there were no reports
of injuries
.
Traffic was diverted from the area during the firefighting operations.
