LIBERTY – A Kenoza Lake man, who is on parole for a previous conviction, has been arrested in connection with a February 8 residential burglary in the Town of Delaware.
A homeowner reported to police that their home had been broken into and that valuables had been taken.
An investigation by State Police from the Liberty barracks determined that Kyle Smith, 25, had committed the crime. He was arrested on February 23 and a search warrant was executed at his home resulting in the recovery of many of the stolen items. He was charged with felony burglary and sent to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.
State Police were assisted in the investigation by the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office.
