BEEKMAN – A corrections officer at Greenhaven Correctional Facility in Stormville was arrested for entering the prison while in possession of over 460 grams of marijuana.
Orianna Lord, 37, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Thursday and charged with criminal possession of marijuana and attempted promoting prison contraband, both as felonies, and a misdemeanor of promoting prison contraband.
Authorities found the drug when Greenhaven supervisors conducted an unannounced screening of employees for contraband as they entered the prison for their scheduled shifts.  After entering the facility, Lord turned around and walked out of the building, but was stopped by a supervisor in the parking lot where she was found in possession of the marijuana.
Lord was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
