KINGSTON – A Kingston man pled guilty in Ulster County Court on Friday to felony criminal possession of a controlled substance.
On June 2, 2016, investigators from the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team arrested Recardo Langston, 31, after he led police on a high-speed chase through Kingston. While attempting to make a turn, he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a building.
He fled on foot but was apprehended by a police K-9 after throwing cocaine away. The drug was later recovered.
The police dog, Triton, was forced to retire from service due to injuries sustained in the incident.
In addition to the Ulster County indictment, Langston is facing federal cocaine and distribution charges.
