What caused this fire remains under investigation

POUGHKEEPSIE – A two-alarm fire at a residence at 44 Harrison Street
in Poughkeepsie damaged the upper floor of the two-story structure Friday
night.

There were reports of injuries but further details were not available
as of early Saturday morning.

The blaze was called in around 8:30 p.m. and responding city firefighters
encountered heavy fire on the second floor and attic. 

An interior attack was made and after a strong push into the attic,
the fire was placed under control.
