Danbury residents arrested on I-84 with loaded guns

TOWN OF SOUTHEAST – A Danbury, Connecticut man and woman were each charged with possession loaded handguns when their car was stopped while driving on I-84 in the Town of Southeast.
On January 5, troopers stopped a car for failing to maintain its lane of travel. The driver, Careem Campbell, 28, was found in unlawful possession of two loaded handguns. His passenger, Ashley Mann, 24, was in possession of a loaded handgun. Neither individual had a New York State permit to carry a gun.  Police also found 110 grams of marijuana in the car.
Campbell was sent to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail. Mann was committed in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
