KINGSTON – The recent
feature article in National Geographic about Ulster County and what it
has to offer its visitors in terms of its four-season tourism is expected
to entice even more people to the Catskills county. That assessment comes
from Rick Remsnyder, director of the county’s tourism bureau.

Remsnyder believes there will be an uptick of interest in the county.

“I am certainly expecting a lot from that and certainly you can’t
ask for much more than a spread in National Geographic, so it’s
certainly going to help us going forward, I am sure,” he said.
Ulster County was highlighted in the December edition as “dreaming
green,” highlighting County Executive Michael Hein’s environmental
achievement for the county.
