Tripodo

TOWN OF WALLKILL – State Police Troop F Commander, Major Joseph
Tripodo appears to be headed to Albany with a promotion.

The cat may have been let out of the bag prematurely, as a State Police
spokesman in Albany said there has been no announcement made.

When Tripodo was asked, he confirmed his discussions with top brass.

“It will be a staff inspector in BCI. That will be a step up,”
he said.
Tripodo had worked his way through the ranks at Troop F, and for the
last more than a year, he returned to the Town of Wallkill headquarters
of the five-county troop. He has thoroughly enjoyed his current stint.

“It’s wonderful, wonderful time here. Hard to say goodbye,”
he said.
If the promotion does come to pass, it is expected to occur in the spring.
