Man injured in fall from car

KINGSTON – The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that occurred in the Town of Gardiner.
On December 24 at about 1:15 a.m., deputies responded to a residence in the Town of Gardiner for a medical emergency reporting a man that was injured from a fall.
It was reported that the injured victim had been a passenger in a vehicle on Route 44/55 in the Town of Gardiner near Albany Post Road. The victim was reported to have opened the door of the vehicle and “fell out” of the vehicle as it was traveling over 40 mph.
The man was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center.  His condition is unknown. 
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Gardiner Fire Rescue.
