KINGSTON – Members of
the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team have arrested a Kingston
man on obscenity related charges.

Since August, the US Department of Homeland Security had investigated
explicit online communications between a Kingston man and a person he
believed to be a 13-year-old girl, who was in fact, an undercover Homeland
Security agent.

Over the course of several days in the end of August, several conversations
took place, which included discussion about meeting in person for sexual
conduct and the transmission of sexually explicit photographs.

On the afternoon of December 21, member of URGENT and Homeless Security
executed a search warrant at the home of Matthew Brownlee, Jr., 26, of
Kingston, and later charged him with the felony of disseminating indecent
material to minors.

He was arraigned and released to appear in Kingston City Court at a later
date.
