TOWN OF AMENIA – Two women are in the Dutchess County Jail without
bail following their arrest on narcotics charges.
The Dutchess County Drug Task Force and the sheriff’s office Emergency
Services Unit executed a search warrant at 4930 Route 22 in the Town of
Amenia on Monday, December 19 based on an investigation into drug sales
taking place at that address.
Taken into custody were Shannon Kett, 26, and Nyteona Brown, 23, both
of Amenia.
Investigators seized two illegal handguns, 500 bags of heroin, 85 bags
of crack cocaine, marijuana, scales and packaging materials.
Kett was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance
and two counts of misdemeanor weapon possession.
Brown was charged with felony drug possession as well as being a fugitive
from justice as she is wanted by the State of Georgia for felony forgery
charges.
