GOSHEN – The $735 million Orange County budget for next year was
signed by County Executive Steven Neuhaus on Monday.

He said he was satisfied with the minor changes to his original spending
plan made by county lawmakers.

Neuhaus said on Tuesday the future looks bright for the county, which
he believes is turning the corner toward an upswing in the economy.

“It comes down to two things – us cutting spending since we
when took office and the economy doing better,” he said.
The budget includes a slight tax decrease.

The county legislature on Thursday will give its final approval to the
budget now that Neuhaus signed it.
