Traffic stop leads to long list of criminal charges

HIGHLAND – A Highland woman is in jail on several charges following a traffic stop earlier this week.
Candace Johnson, 50, was arrested November 20th and charged with resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, criminal impersonation, and aggravated unlicensed operation after the vehicle she was operating was stopped for traffic violations on New Paltz Road in Highland. She was also found to be wanted by the New York State Police on an arrest warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and Petit Larceny from the Town of Poughkeepsie Police.
Johnson was sent to the Ulster County Jail on $1,500 cash bail, $3,000 bond
