Dark windows lead to drug arrest

Hamilton

WAPPINGER – State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Marise Hamilton, 27, of Newburgh, for criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. He was also charged with criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree, possession of a large capacity ammo feeding device, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, and unlawful possession of marihuana.
 
Hamilton was stopped on November 16 on Route 9 by Smithtown Road for dark window tint.  An inspection revealed the criminal items.  He was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond.
