Crash in front of Pomona Post Office kills one

TOWN OR RAMAPO – Ramapo Police Department responded late Monday morning to a report of a motor vehicle accident in front of the Pomona Post Office on Rt. 202.
Upon arrival Officers determined that a Cadillac, operated by a 68-year-old female was westbound on Route 202 and attempted to make a left turn into the Pomona Post Office when it was struck by an eastbound Honda, driven by a 59-year-old female.
The driver of the Honda was extricated by Hillcrest F.D., treated by Spring Hill Ambulance along with Rockland Paramedics prior to being pronounced dead.
The Ramapo Police news release did not mention the condition of the other driver. 
Each vehicle was occupied only by the driver.
As of late Monday, identities still had not been released pending notification of relatives.
