Rockland contractor accused of stealing from homeowner

NEW CITY – A West Nyack man has been charged with felony grand larceny for allegedly stealing $2,800 from a Chestnut Ridge homeowner with whom he had contracted to perform outdoor home improvements.
Markeen Coursar, 42, who is a licensed contractor, agreed to pave a woman’s driveway in December of last year and according to the charges, took the money as a deposit but never did the work of provided her with a refund after several requests.
Coursar was released on his own recognizance. If convicted, he faces a possible state sentence of up to seven years.
