ALBANY – Job growth in the Hudson Valley continued in the 12 month
period ending in October.
The only county to lose jobs is Greene, which saw a 1.3 percent decline.
Ulster County had the largest percentage growth at 1.6 percent.
The Dutchess-Putnam Metropolitan Division saw a 1.2 percent increase as
did Sullivan County.
The Orange-Rockland-Westchester Metropolitan Division experienced a one
percent increase in jobs.
Columbia County was flat with no growth.
Statewide from October 2015 to this October, jobs rose by 1.1 percent,
or 89,900, according to the state Labor Department.
