SAUGERTIES – A 23-year-old Saugerties resident has been arrested
and charged with felony criminal sale of marijuana and misdemeanor endangering
the welfare of a child.
Saugerties Police allege that Dennisse Torres Rodriguez of the Town of
Saugerties had provided a 15-year-old boy with marijuana laced with cocaine
on November 9.
After the two smoked it, Rodriguez dropped the boy off in the Village
of Saugerties. The child became sick and an ambulance was called to the
scene, which transported him to the HealthAlliance Broadway Campus in
Kingston.
On November 11, Rodriguez was arrested, charged and released on $500 cash
bail. An order of protection was issued by the court on behalf of the
15-year-old.
