Carriage House before …

… and after

KINGSTON – Mayor Steven Noble unveiled the renovated Carriage House on the grounds of the Everette Hodge Community Center in Midtown Kingston on Wednesday.
Noble said when he worked at the Hodge Center through the city Parks and Recreation Department, “we struggled every day to deliver quality youth programming in a very limited space.”
The renovations to the Carriage House were funded through the city’s Community Development Block grant and a donation of labor from the Bruderhof.
Noble said the building will now be used every day for youth and adult programming.
In addition to the renovations, a new fence has been installed around the grounds, creating a more secure and cohesive space for youth to spend time outside, the mayor said.
