Poughkeepsie woman accused of endangering welfare of a child

RED HOOK – A Poughkeepsie woman, who was employed to care for a
12-year-old child with special needs, has been arrested and charged with
endangering the welfare of a child.
State Police said Margaret Namulanga, 22, struck the child in the face while supervising the youngster.
The incident occurred on September 25 and was immediately reported by coworkers to the State Justice Center for the Protection of Vulnerable Persons.
Namulanga was immediately placed on administrative leave as a safety precaution pending the outcome of the investigation. 
She was arrested on Tuesday, November 2 and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Red Hook Town Court.
