MIDDLE HOPE – A woman, believed to be the owner of a home in the Middle Hope section of the Town of Newburgh, died early Friday evening in a fire at 115 Oak Street.
Firefighters from several departments, including Middle Hope, Milton and Cronomer Valley, fought the two-alarm blaze, which remains under investigation by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, county fire investigators and Town of Newburgh officials.
The identity of the victim has not been made public.
