NEWBURGH – Cornerstone Family Healthcare, headquartered in Newburgh, is looking to partner with other healthcare providers and expand its services.
The agency, formerly the Greater Newburgh Family Health Center, changed its name when it began providing healthcare to the underserved population at a Binghamton Housing Authority facility.
It is also building an immediate medical center in Plattekill and is looking to expand beyond that, said its president and CEO, Linda Muller.
“We are at the final stages of having a conversation with another provider in Rockland County, where we would co-located our primary care within their service area and we are having some conversations with a provider in Sullivan County,” Muller said. “In this day and age, you don’t really do anything by yourself; you do it in a coordinated and comprehensive way.”
Cornerstone will also be setting up a facility at the Medical Village being developed at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis.
