KINGSTON – One month after pop singer Mariah Carey’s sister, Alison Carey, was arrested in Saugerties on prostitution charges, she is back on the job.
In a personal ad on the classified website “BackStage,” Alison wrote “Im a pretty lady looking for guys who are looking to have some fun” in the Saugerties-Kingston area. She lists her age as 47, although when arrested at the end of August, the police said she is 55.
When arrested last month, she had been working from a local hotel. Her arrest stemmed from an undercover police officer posing as a potential customer. She was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
Articles on the Internet say Alison Carey has had prior arrests for prostitution.
