Dutchess IDA notifies Mechtronics it is in default on its PILOT payment

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Industrial Development Agency will notify Mechtronics company in Beacon that it is in default of its 2016 land payment-in-lieu-of-taxes compensation.
The IDA board made the decision at its Tuesday meeting.
Mechtronics, which manufactures custom retail point-of-sale displays, secured a PILOT agreement with the IDA in 2011. That allowed it to expand its facilities with an exemption on construction materials.
