TOWN OF ULSTER – A Kingston man was arrested by Town of Ulster Police following an in investigation into a case of reported sexual abuse in the town.
Police charged Akeem Dawson, 31, with misdemeanors of sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. He allegedly subjected a child under the age of 14 to unwanted sexual contact. The child was not physically injured.
Police said the incident was not random; Dawson knew the child.
He was sent to the Ulster County jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $2,500 bond. An order of protection was issued barring Dawson from having any further contact with the child.
