NEWBURGH – A number of handguns and rifles were turned in to authorities
in Newburgh on Saturday as city police working in conjunction with the
state attorney general’s office, held a gun buy-back program.

Residents turned in several handguns or rifles and received gift certificates
of anywhere from $25 to $150 depending on the type of weapon and its condition
in this no-questions-asked event.

The buyback program was conducted by City of Newburgh Police Department
in conjunction with the state Attorney General’s Office.
