Victim of Red Hook car crash was Albany resident

RED HOOK – Police identified the victim of a Monday mid-morning car crash on Route 9 in the Town of Red Hook as an Albany man.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reported that Robert Yowell, Jr., 49, was pronounced dead at the scene near the Columbia County line.
Investigation revealed that Yowell was southbound when he ran off the
road and struck a tree.  First responders found him unconscious and
trapped in the vehicle.
