MONROE – Motorists can expect traffic slowdowns on Route 17 eastbound between exit 130 at Route 208 and exit 131 at Routes 32 and 17 in the Monroe-Woodbury area on Sunday, August 7 from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. while crews perform utility-related activities, the state Department of Transportation said.
Traffic is not expected to come to a complete stop, but motorists should expect delays.
Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.
Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone and convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of a person’s driver’s license.
