ELLENVILLE – An Ellenville woman is charged with killing her mother on Saturday morning.
Mari Gilbert, 52, of Ellenville, was found stabbed to death at 9 Warren Street, apartment 2, in Ellenville about 2:15 p.m. A short time later, Ellenville Police located and arrested her daughter, Sarra Elizabeth Gilbert, 27, of that address, and charged her with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. She is in the Ulster County Jail without bail.
The investigation is continuing.
Ellenville Police were assisted by the Forensic Investigation Unit of the State Police, Uniform and Detectives, and URGENT members.
