SAUGERTIES – A Saugerties woman is under arrest for calling police and telling them that she had just killed her boyfriend.
When Saugerties Police investigated the claim by Christine Diliberto, 37, at mid-morning on Wednesday, they determined her boyfriend was in fact alive and that Diliberto had maliciously made a false report to police.
She was charged with the misdemeanor of falsely reporting an incident and was released on an appearance ticket pending a future court appearance.
