UNION VALE – A man, who is a resident of the state Taconic DDSO group home, was located safe and sound some six hours after he walked away from the facility in Union Vale late Friday morning. He had been last seen walking into nearby woods.
Joseph O’Brien, 59, who is described as mentally handicapped, was located in Poughkeepsie. He had left the residence on Verbank Club Road at around 11:30 a.m. wearing a t-shirt and shorts.
Troopers thanked everyone who called in tips and assisted with the location of O’Brien.
