POUGHKEEPSIE – Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro named a Hopewell Junction man as the new commissioner of the Office of Central and Information Services to replace the retiring Timothy Mahler.
Subject to county legislature approval next month, Glenn Marchi, Ph.D. will take over on July 18.
Molinaro said Marchi “brings the right experience and insight to continue to move Dutchess County Government forward with technological advances.” The county executive cited Marchi’s “extensive business and technology experience in higher education, the military, and private sector.”
Marchi comes to Dutchess having served as director of operations for Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry. Previously he held positions in a number of corporations including IBM in Poughkeepsie.  He also serves as a colonel in the New York Guard with prior deployment to Iraq as a battalion commander in the US Army and first responder to the World Trade Center attack.
